Beatrice Lari

Artist Iconographer and Master Gilder

Beatrice Lari was born in Florence. Since her childhood she has shown a marked aptitude for drawing and painting.

She approached the iconographic world in 2011, when she attended the first course of iconography.

In the following years, she attended the Iconographic School of Seriate and several courses taught by masters iconographers, including the master Aleksandr Stalnov. She also made study trips in Russia and Greece.

She held solo exhibitions in Italy.

Her personal research is costant, based on an in-depth study of the Byzantine iconography and of painting and gilding techniques developed in Italian, Russian and Greek art.

The artist realizes her works on wooden boards with the technique of the egg tempera, used by Byzantines, and she gilds using complex gilding techniques, employing gold leaf, precious and semi-precious stones.
